I saved the Quick Temperament and when I re-launched CSE and
opened the saved temperament, it came out all mixed-up and wrong.
|
Can't confirm but it looks like a non-US number format issue.
|
Fixed 2.8.0 |

When I change the Key to A and tune a scale the octaves are wrong.
|
Confirmed.

In the Quick Temperament window, could you make the tuning change immediately when
a temperament is chosen from the menu or when one of the pitch sliders is moved?
|
OK, I'll look into this.
|
Added 2.8.0 |
| Bug | Apr.2011 | Windows |
When it starts up, it sits there for several seconds before I can use it. The same
thing happens when I close the Preferences window.
|
Confirmed for Windows only. This strange behavior appears to have been
introduced in the last update. The cause is not yet apparent.
|
Fixed 2.8.0 |
| Bug | Mar.2011 | Both |
When I map an imported scale that has pitches like
1146.815 cents, CSE puts it in the wrong register (one octave too low)
in each octave, so some manual editing of octaves is needed.
|
Confirmed when your Hz setting is something other than A=440.
Found and fixed; thanks.
|
Fixed 2.7.3 |
| Bug | Mar.2011 | Both |
When I try to map a scale and use linked entries, I get error messages popping
up, something about CompilerError and n = vType(x)
|
Confirmed. Actually all Code Snippets are producing this error at the moment, but
I've just found it and fixed it; thanks for the notice.
|
Fixed 2.7.3 |
| Bug | Jan.2011 | Windows |
I get an error message on first boot, and on successive boots, so I can't run the software.

I would like an option to turn the Key and Hz setting to OFF,
since I like to enter everything in directly in Hz values, and my tunings don't really have a 'home key'.
|
OK. When you use f=Hz value, the Key is ignored anyway, but I'll add an option to turn it OFF.
Essentially this will default everything to Hz entries.
|
Added 2.6.2 |
| Bug | Nov.2010 | Both |
My exported Kontakt script is not working in Kontakt 4.
|
Keyboard encodings outside the US were causing a problem. Exported scripts work with Kontakt 3 and above.

| Bug | Oct.2010 | Both |
In the Quick Tempermants window, when I add a new temperament,
it saves OK, but then if I edit it, it tells me I have to choose a
new name, and I can't save it.
|
Confirmed. For now, directly after you save it, switch
to another temperment and then swith back to the new one, then you
can edit it and save it.
|
Fixed 2.6.1 |
| Complaint | Oct.2010 | Both |
Shouldn't the download version be called a Demo, if there is a licensed version?
|
I see your point. In the next update I will change the name of the licensed version to 'CSE Pro',
and try to clarify the differences between the 'Pro' version and the free version.
|
Added 2.6.1 |
| Request | Oct.2010 | Both |
Could you please add a horizontal floating keyboard that I can play pitches more easily with the mouse?

I get an installation error:
'Installation of H-Pi Instruments Application Support was unsuccessful. Installation must be done manually.
Inside the H-Pi Instruments folder is a folder called CSE. Please move this folder to the following location:
c:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application Data\H-Pi Instruments' |
Confirmed. Somehow two folders were omitted from the last server upload, causing this installation
error only for new users. The files have been uploaded properly so this has been fixed in the current version.
|
Fixed 2.4.0 |

MIDI > All Notes Off isn't working for me. |

instead of stopping all notes.

My exported .csv files are not opening in Scordatura or HPLF |

It crashes when I try to open a file |
I can't reproduce this, but it might happen when you open a file with
.tbx extension instead of .cse extension. It is supposed to handle both, but
for some reason I am getting reports of crashing for .tbx files. So, renaming
those files with .cse should solve the problem, but I'll of course fix it as well.

Fixed 2.3.2 |

If I select a scale from the Scale list and choose Tune
from the pop-up menu (or press the Tune button),
I get directed to the 'Map Scale to Keys' dialogue box where
I have to select the scale once again (the first scale is always selected by default)
and press OK etc.
|
Confirmed. The dialog needs to appear (unless you have some idea for a different way
of working? If so please use the forum
to discuss) but the scale should be selected in the popup menu and it isn't. For now
you just have to do the extra step.
|
Fixed 2.3.0 |
| Bug | Jan.2009 | Mac |
I get an error that the Quicktime Synthesizer cannot be found. |
Confirmed; this happened if you had been using a soundfont and then you tried to
switch to the Quicktime synth using the popup window rather than the synth window, so
it could be avoided by choosing sound sets from the synth window.

Sending a table to TBX1 doesn't work |
This version of TBXE defaults to the MIDI port selected in your Preferences

your MIDI interface. It works, but the next update will put output options in
the program window to avoid this confusion. |
