Control Surface polygons go black and stay black when I play keys on my keyboard.
I can only play each key once, then the polygons don't respond.

I can't reproduce this, but it is apparently related to active sensing keyboards that send
running status note messages. |

I would like to put tuning files in subfolders inside the Tuning Tables csv folder.

Yes; this was a bit complicated because of how tuning files were previously referenced,
but a useful feature and well worth the trouble to add it. Thank you for requesting it.

In long sustained notes, some soundfonts have clearly audible pitch drifting. There is a point where the
sample just bends out of tune.

This will happen for soundfonts that are not recorded at 44.1 Khz and 16-bit in mono.
Apple's CoreAudio DLSMusicDevice object requires that its soundfont samples be exactly and only this format:
44.1 Khz 16-bit mono sound files. If a different sampling rate is used, this results in the pitch shifting, due to
incorrect sample offsets in the looping portion of the data. I'm looking into an alternate sound engine for a
future version of Scoratura which will not have this limitation.

After buying the license and entering the codes, the software came up with the demo window again.

OK, I found where that could happen in the same session where you register, before you have quit and opened
it again after registering. For now just quit and reboot the software; then the demo window will be gone.

Running Mac OSX 10.6.1, I Receive the message Prefs synth failed to initialize.when starting up.
Followed by the message:An exception of class OutOfBoundsException was not handled.
The application must shut down.Program shuts down and will not run. |

It isn't working with Finale 2008
|
The MIDI Setup window in Finale 2008 is not the same as the one
in Finale 2009, which is shown in the setup page.
Instead of a drop-down window for Playback Device to you have to go to
MIDI / Audio > Internal Speaker Playback and set it to Off.

I assigned a Tuning Table Trigger and it crashed. Not sure what I did.

Found it. It was allowing assigning Nil (not loaded)
tables to Triggers. It is unlikely this would happen
normally, but I will supress the Trigger window from opening unless at least one table is loaded. |

I'm unable to locate documentation |
Documentation is integrated in HTML files within the application,
viewed using the Help menu or clicking on the (?) icons in each window.
You can also open help files in a browser by opening them from:
HD > Users > Username > Library > Prefereneces > H-Pi Instruments > SCORDATURA > HTML Help
Drag and drop any of those html files into your browser and you can
navigate the help without having SCORDATURA open. Hope that helps! |
